Arleeta Lerner has been an educator for over 3 decades. Early in her career she also organized and lead youth retreats and designed school graduation ceremonies and activities. She has taught in formal and informal classroom settings as well as overseeing resource/support programs.


Through the years Mrs. Lerner has developed and instituted new and innovative ways to inspire and guide students to find what is best in themselves. Her deepest commitment is always to the ‘whole child’ seeking to encourage each individual to reach his/her highest and most noble self.


Having taught many levels of students both grade and skill wise Mrs. Lerner’s fondest memories, greatest success and most cherished moments have been with young elementary children. She will tell you, and most educators agree that these years are when children have the greatest need for nurturing and guidance in their development of lifelong learning and living habits. Mrs. Lerner has taught, affected and impacted the lives of many children and adults in the most positive and enduring ways.


Mrs. Lerner and her husband, Dr. Ivan Lerner, also an educator and psychologist, have lived on 3 continents (thus far). They have made their home in Cape Town, South Africa, Sydney Australia and numerous cities in the USA. They currently reside in Silver Spring, Maryland. They are the parents of 5 children, all of whom are married and raising large families.
